Other Opportunities

This website may be about our graduate training schemes and PhD Studentships, but it doesn’t mean we don’t have other opportunties. Perhaps you don’t want to join a scheme. Or maybe you’d rather work as an intern or volunteer before you commit yourself. If so, this is where you can find out more.

As our main website will tell you, there are many ways in which you contribute to Cancer Research UK. You’ll find a regularly updated list of jobs on there, many of which are entry-level roles.

For more information on entry level roles click here.

Alternatively, you could try our internship – a 12-week scheme where you can get experience in Fundraising, Campaigning, Marketing, Communications or another major part of the organisation.

For more information on internships click here.

A summer internship (also lasting 12 weeks) does the same for science students, putting you in the same labs as our world-class scientists.

PhD students may be interested in one of our Fellowships.

Of course we’re always interested in volunteers – without their help we couldn’t function. As well as working in our shops, you can join us in our offices, fundraising in the local community or at our events. Race for Life for example, relies on the help of committed students and other volunteers.
